Exceptional Legal Representation
- county court appeals

Michael represents clients who are unhappy with the decisions handed down to them by the Magistrates' Court. If you have attended court in the last 28 days and you believe that the result was too harsh, the sentence was excessive or unfair, or the case was not conducted properly, I may be able to help.

Appeals to the Country Court sometimes result in a better result – but not always. Sometimes, the appeal produces a harsher result. If you are considering an appeal, call me. I will look up your case and offer you free advice about whether an appeal is likely to succeed.

If I consider an appeal isn’t worth the risk, you can seek a second opinion or drop the appeal and learn to live with what the Magistrates’ Court has handed down. If we agree to mount an appeal, I will run your case and keep costs to a minimum. In most instances, the Magistrates’ Court hands down decisions that are just and fair. However, there are some exceptions and some magistrates are tougher than others. It’s worth remembering though that the decision handed down usually depends more on how well your case was prepared and argued.

Feel free to call Michael direct on - 041 555 7011 anytime - to get some free advice on whether your case is worth appealing.
